Family Outreach Counseling Services has served the greater Southern California Community, in the Long Beach/Los Angeles area since 1991. In 2014, she moved her clinical practice to Temecula, California, where Dr. Simms resides with her husband of forty five years.

Dr. Simms, is both a minister and a therapist, and is well trained in integrating biblically based principles and psychotherapeutic techniques. Areas of specialization include marriage and family, relationships, and helping people identify patterns that may be hindering them from living out their true purpose.

Other specialty areas include work related stressors, conflict and stress management, anxiety and depression, abuse, addictions and recovery, grief and loss, codependency issues and boundaries. The integration of theology and psychology is used to assist people in the therapeutic process to become freed up emotionally. Dr. Simms has also been a motivational public speaker for both churches and businesses on topics related to emotional and spiritual health.
