Winds and Seasons of Change
January, 2021

I was on my walk this January morning in California and the winds were fierce. The winds were pushing me in a direction that I did not want to go. I started thinking about that. Sometimes life’s forces push your life into uncomfortable places where you feel powerless and out of control. I was thinking about the new ear and new beginnings. Resistant winds over time can give a sense of hopelessness, not hopefulness and you may feel as if you will never reach your intended purpose.
With faith in a loving God, you can be sure that resistant winds will not always be a challenge. Seasons come and go, new seasons can bring hope and with them exciting new adventures. Stay encouraged that He who began a good work in you will complete it. Phillipians 1:6 Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will cary it onto completion until the day of Christ jesus.
Here are two practical principles to assist you in staying focused and moving forward in a positive direction:
Be Prayful: God loves you and always wants the best for your life. Stay connected to Him through powerful, honest, and authentic communication with Him.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Practice Self Care: Set some healthy boundaries with yourself to make sure you are taking time to have balance in your life. Exercise, eat healthy, and spend time with people who encourage you and lift you iup and stir up the creative gifts that are within you! It is important to be around people who energize and build you up in purposeful and life-giving ways.
May you continue to experience God’s blessings, prosperity, and new and exciting ventures in this new year!
